The George is a consistently popular restaurant in the area located both near the castle and the quay as well as being right on the water’s edge, making this a truly idyllic location. When it comes to dining you can choose between the more formal restaurant that serves beautifully presented dishes such as, trio of duck or pigeon with ox tongue and a white bean sauce, or the less formal brasserie. Dishes here include Thai crab soup and pan-fired tuna, followed by glorious desserts such as dark chocolate tart with coffee sauce, or orange cappuccino parfaits with coffee caramel.

The Priory Bay Hotel is set right on the beach making it a good choice for both staying at or simply to dine at. The menu is made up of starters such as feuillette of wild mushrooms with poached egg and risotto of the day, followed by tempting mains such as roasted lamb stuffed with sage and black olives or pan-friend turbot with nut oil.
